Crescent Head
Surf & Yoga Retreat
Our most asked for trip is baaack baby and the momentum behind this one is crazy! As we all know there’s no better way to build your confidence in the water than being surrounded by your sisters cheering each other on as you go for that wave. So, we are suuuper excited to announce we are hosting another surf and yoga trip to one of the most iconic surfing spots not only in the East Coast, but in all of Australia: Crescent Head! This epic little surf town has a dreamy point break that is perfectly designed for you to get the best ride of your life (or your first one at all, if that’s the case!). This friendly right-handed wave is known to be suitable to all levels and styles, especially beginners and long boarders. This is why we thought it would be the perfect place for us to have some fun and share some party waves!
Our retreat is just a quick 5-minute drive to the beach, nestled in the vibrant green forests of NSW and is the perfect space to unwind, relax, and recharge after our daily surf sessions. And what better a way to do this than with yoga classes, surf movement flows, jumps in the pool and hanging out with the girls. The retreat space will also provide us with 3 healthy and delicious meals per day as well as hot drinks and beverages. Did I mention that you have unlimited Barista-made coffee?! Yes, you heard correctly! Are you as excited as we are? If you haven’t been sold already, let’s take a closer look at what our itinerary will look like.

Experience:
This is a beginners level surf and yoga trip, you don't have to have any experience or have even tried it before! Maybe this will be your first time standing on a board - how exciting! We have created a super welcoming and open space for you to step out of your comfort zone and try something new with like-minded girls. And if you already know how to surf? That's cool too! You will love the waves here!
Accomodation:
We will be staying in a beautiful retreat in Crescent Head, located 5 minutes from the beach, with cosy rooms, a beautiful yoga deck, a pool and a little cafe with all the barista coffee you can drink!
There are two options for rooms: 6 private rooms available with king beds and ensuites and 5 shared rooms that each have 2 queen beds.
Getting There:
We will meet at our accomodation in Crescent Head. If you don't know where that is, it is about halfway between Brisbane and Sydney, 5 hours driving either way. If you are coming from somewhere near either of those, we highly recommend you to hop in your car and make an epic little road trip out of it! The NSW East Coast is an incredible, rugged environment full of hidden, secret little surfing spots for you to enjoy and use as a warm up before the actual trip.
If you are making your way to Crescent from any other part of the country, your best option is to fly to Port Macquarie, which is the closest airport to Crescent Head. From there, it is a short 45 minute drive to the retreat. Please feel free to contact us if you need help arranging your transport from Port Macquarie to Crescent - there is a shuttle service available and we'd be happy to help :)
What to Pack:
-
Comfortable swimmers for surfing (something that you can dive through waves and its not going to come flying off! I find string bikinis that tie up arent the best for surfing as they come undone. It doesnt have to be a one piece, but just something well fitting and sturdy).
-
Rash shirt (board rash and sunburn is not fun!).
-
Casual summer clothes.
-
Sandals
-
Sunscreen/zinc, moisturiser, toiletries.
-
Beach towel. The retreat provides bath towels.
-
Yoga clothes/active wear.
-
A small backpack to carry your belongings in during the day.
-
Optional: BYO yoga mat if you prefer your own mat, otherwise we will provide them.
Itinerary:
Please note, this is only an ‘example itinerary’. Given that surfing is an activity that relies heavily on weather and ocean conditions such as tides, swells and winds, our goal is to surf in the best locations and with the most optimal conditions so that you can get the most out of your surfing sesh! :)
Usually, conditions are better in the early morning. Thus, we will try to start the day in the water. If not, we will wake up our bodies with a nice, gentle yoga flow and then check out the waves.
DAY 1: ADVENTURE TIME!
February 5th
Welcome to a fun week of surfing, yoga, and hanging out with your new adventure besties! After checking in at 2pm we'll let you settle in and check out where we'll be staying the next week. Depending on the surf conditions we'll go have our first surf session today followed by dinner and an opening circle.
DAY 2 - 5: SURF, YOGA, POOL, EAT, REPEAT!
February 6th - 9th
The next days will be all about getting you on some waves and turning you into the surfer girl we all know you are! Each day will be a little different depending on the conditions. Sometimes we will wake up and surf right away and sometimes we will have a yoga class to start the day. Whatever the order, it's going to be so much fun! When we're all surfed out, we will have some time to chill or jump in the pool at our beautiful retreat and eat lots of yummy food.
DAY 6: LAST SURF UNTIL THE NEXT ADVENTURE.
February 10th
Sadly, this is the day we have to say goodby. But first, let's have one last surf together! After a surf and brekky we'll pack up our things and say sayonara. But don't worry, it's not really a goodbye - it's a "See you on the next one!"
