Yoga Teacher

The Role:

WWJ is looking for a yoga teacher to join our team who can lead trips in the Whitsundays, Uluru, Kakadu and other destinations. Whilst teaching yoga is the primary duty of this role, you will also be expected to organise other aspects of the trips such as planning the food menu, travel logistics, liaising with collaborating businesses, and overall making sure the trip runs smoothly. We are looking for someone who inspires women to embrace their wild side and can hold space for them to feel supported. You will begin hosting existing WWJ trips with an experienced team member, however we hope you will have initiative to ppotentially design your own yoga retreats / adventures.


Required skills:

  • Yoga Teacher Training 200 Hrs.

  • Excellent leadership, with the ability to host and organise groups of up to 16 women.

  • Amazingly outgoing personality, able to make friends with everyone and hold space for women to be themselves.

  • Must be able to travel full time and commit to attending trips in various locations.

  • Full Australian drivers license

  • Initiative and desire to create new experiences for Wild Women Journeys

 

Advantageous:

  • Experience facilitating retreats

  • Outdoor recreation experience such as camping and hiking.

  • Capable of using social media for marketing

  • Ability to teach other activities such as surfing, sailing, diving, snorkeling etc.

Outdoor Recreation Guide

The Role:

WWJ is looking for an outgoing and adventurous female tour guide to join our team leading trips in Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park, Kakadu National Park, and other remote destinations. The successful applicate will need to have exceptional outdoor skills to facilitate camping and hiking trips for groups of up to 18 people and drive our light rigid 4wd vehicle. WWJ trips are all about creating a space for women to try new activities in a supportive environment, therefore our leaders are integral to achieving this goal.


Required skills:

  • Tour Guiding Experience minimum 2 years

  • Outdoor recreation experience including using swags/tents, cooking on campfire.

  • First Aid Certificate

  • Open manual drivers license

  • High level of fitness capable of hiking up to 17km a day.

Advantageous/able to obtain:

  • Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park accreditation

  • Kakadu National Park accreditation

  • Light Rigid driver’s license
